Heidi Quan
Senior Investigator (AWI-CH)
A former employment litigator and advice and counsel attorney, Heidi brings over 25 years of experience and a deep understanding of both the role and the value of an independent investigator to her work at Alta Employment Law. She is approachable, has keen listening skills and is naturally curious, all of which enable her to smoothly navigate complicated workplace disputes and create comfortable environments for witnesses, especially regarding sensitive issues.
Heidi has experience investigating allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other misconduct, in a variety of work environments and industries. Her clients have included everything from national and international corporations to small, family-owned businesses.
As a neutral investigator, Heidi draws on her legal knowledge and experience to comprehensively yet efficiently investigate the facts that support each witness’ recollection. Clients view Heidi as providing fair, efficient and objective work, timely updates, and factual findings that are clear and concise. Heidi’s peers ranked her at the highest level of professional excellence for skill and integrity (“AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell).
Heidi is a member of the State Bar of California, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Asian American Bar Association (Bay Area), and the Association of Workplace Investigators. Prior to joining Alta Employment Law, she worked as a partner at a Bay Area law firm, practicing employment law for everything from large Fortune 500 companies to smaller private employers. She also worked in the Legal Unit of the EEOC, and served as a Judicial Extern for Justice Timothy A. Reardon on the California Court of Appeal. She is a graduate of San Diego State University (B.S.) and Golden Gate University School of Law (J.D.), where she received multiple awards and held leadership roles in several Student and Student Bar Associations.
